Global building materials company CEMEX Philippines enriched the recent Public Relations Society of the Philippines’ PR Congress by sharing how it takes care of its employees. Atty. Maria Virginia Eala, Vice President for Human Resources of CEMEX Asia, Middle East & Africa, was among the speakers who shared their experiences, learnings, and best practices in creating value through effective public relations at the learning event for PR practitioners titled “The Boardroom” held recently at Shangri-La The Fort, Taguig City. Eala talked about how CEMEX’s employee value proposition is driven by a compelling purpose embodied in the company’s vision of building a better future. With CEMEX employees feeling a sense of higher purpose by contributing to nation building, their work becomes more than just being a means of living, according to Eala. CEMEX’s employee development program is anchored on CEMEX Cares, a human relations platform with services aimed at increasing employee engagement and achieving an ever more vibrant and progressive corporate culture. CEMEX Cares enhances employee experience by striving to create a family experience for them, said Eala. CEMEX is a partner of the 2017 Public Relations Congress. Awarding PRSP's Trophy of Appreciation is PRSP President Jika Dalupan and PR Congress 2017 Chairman Chito Maniago, CEMEX Philippines Director for Corporate Communications. CEMEX provides high quality products and reliable service to customers and communities in more than 50 countries. Its innovative building solutions, efficiency advancements, and efforts to promote a sustainable future are helping improve the well-being of the communities it serves.
